Certificate In Financial Modeling
This certificate program will equip experienced or entry-level business professionals with a sequence of mathematical representations of financial scenarios based on assumptions and relationships between different components of an entity’s operations and its industry machinations. In comparison to other financial modeling instructional programs, participants will be able to acquire interdisciplinary knowledge in the realm of institutional, emerging venture, as well as real estate modeling, subsequently yielding a highly versatile, astute economic or investment analyst. Real Estate Financial Modeling
This course is designed to develop technical knowledge on modeling investment opportunities in commercial asset classes in the office, multifamily, retail, and hospitality sector. Participants will be systemically exposed to traditional & non-traditional sources of capital, available tax credit regimes, in addition to the plethora of valuation techniques employed by investors, hedge funds manager, and other structured finance professionals.
Institutional Financial Modeling
Whether it is merger & acquisition activity or equity and debt capital offerings, this course will assist in constructing underlying assumptions, identify operational & financial trends, and harnessing well-reasoned strategic direction. Intellectual courtesy will be placed toward consolidating acquirer and target projected financials by quantitatively measuring the synergistic effects of commercial integration.
Small-Business (Venture) Financial Modeling
In a globalized economy, small or newly-founded entities are required to forecast and process numerical data to observe whether an entrepreneur’s idea or enterprise sustains a viable foundation for creating a thriving business. Participants will develop individualized financial models, through a set of nuanced, market-based assumptions, as well as demonstrate value-earning, risk-adjusted returns against a backdrop of rising cost of capital structures.
Building a Financial Model
Participants in this course will work in collaborative teams and construct a robust financial model selected from the three areas of concentration accessed (i.e., real estate, institutional, or small-business) and formalize a concluding oral presentation to a collection of investment practitioners. This end-product can then be used strategically as reference material or as a methodologically-refined professional work sample during a future interview process.
